The ESRB listing details that players will guide Zelda in dispelling rifts across Hyrule and rescuing Link. While Zelda uses a magic wand to summon creatures for battle, Link's gameplay involves his iconic sword and arrow attacks.

 
The game's debut trailer hints at a prologue where a fully equipped Link battles Ganon, possibly as part of actual gameplay. This setup has led to fan theories about Link's role throughout the game, with speculation about whether he remains playable beyond the introduction.

 
The reveal has also sparked discussions about the game's timeline and setting, with some fans suggesting connections to maps from A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds.

 
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set to launch on September 26, 2024, and promises a new dynamic in the beloved series by allowing players to experience the adventures of both Zelda and Link.
